This one is my first Makita drill… I’ve heard great things about Makita in the past, so I was curious trying one. Man, I’d say that Makita makes great tools for sure. You can feel the power holding it in your hand. The grip fits my hand perfectly. The chuck is great, very easy to tighten and loosen bits.
The battery life is more than I expected and wow, it recharges fast! The charge time was closer to 20 minutes than 30 minutes. Love it!
It’s also built tough, I accidently dropped the dril from a 8 feet ladder directly on hard wood floor. No problemo, the drill still works like a new one!
It’s probably not the type of drill a contractor would buy and use, but I know it would definitely save a job.
It’s perfect for all around the house jobs. The only downside I can see is that it comes with only one battery. Would love to have a second one. But the battery life is so good that I don’t really mind. Just taking a break time is enough to recharge.
Now, I just can’t wait to try another Makita tool… I think I’m becoming a fan of their.
This drill makes the work it’s supposed to. But the LED light is quite useless… but could be handy in very dark environments.
Don’t buy before you read this
If you are looking to buy this drill, you have to know that you will find it in most store. Home Depot got it, but seems like Lowe’s doesn’t sell those. If you’re in Canada, you can find it at Canadian Tire, Rona, Reno-Depot, etc… But the best place to buy it is from Amazon. There, you get the best price for sure and they give super fast and free shipping to your door.
We highly recommend you to buy this tool from the same place we did. Maybe you even already have an account there and since everyone trust Amazon, you can trust them too!
